Fritidskortet och musikcheck Lund/musikcheck Staffanstorp går att kombinera!

Fritidskortet är ett digitalt statligt bidrag på fn 550 kr/år som stöd för avgifter för fritidsaktiviteter. Tyvärr inkluderas inte privata musikskolor och deras elever i fritidskortet. Men! Unga 7 – 16 år kan använda sitt fritidskort på LIMUS om de har Lunds eller Staffanstorps musikcheck. Beloppet för 2026 går att användas från och med 5 januari 2026.
Ännu en gång har den obundna frivilliga musikundervisningen som ges på privata musikskolor fått försämrade förutsättningar. Alla vet att privata musikskolor måste lägga 25% moms på sina tjänster. Samma tjänst beskattas inte alls när den ges av kommunala kulturskolor och studieförbund. Det betyder att de privata skolornas priser upplevs som “dyra”. På LIMUS bär vi denna snedvridna konkurrens med stolthet: vi och våra elever bidrar gärna till statskassan! Men dansskolornas 6% moms hade gett många fler möjlighet att komma till oss.
Som tur är har Lund infört musikchecken som ger unga valfrihet på sin fritid. Den har vi på LIMUS ihop med våra elevföräldrar drivit fram redan 2019. Musikchecken i Lund och fritidskortet går att kombinera. Musikchecken i Lund gäller för närvarande för unga födda 2010-2018. Fritidskortet gäller för unga 7-16 år. Även Staffanstorp har musikcheck och där ligger fritidskort redan som valbar alternativ i kundkorgen. LIMUS med Staffanstorps musikcheck.
Så här gör du om du bor i Lunds Kommun:
1.) Nya elever:
Du anmäler ditt barn till musikchecken här och väljer LIMUS Musikskola. Vi kontaktar dig, bestämmer speltid, startdatum och skickar därefter ett välkomstmail. Samtidigt rapporterar vi dig som ny elev till kommunen. Kommunen fakturerar dig och med detta får du ett OCR-nummer.
Därefter loggar du in på försäkringskassan 
här och ansöker om fritidskortet. Sök upp ”Kulturskolan” (ännu finns inte ”Kulturskolan & musikcheck”) och ange ditt OCR-nummer. Nu kan du använda kortet för att betala en del av avgiften. Resten betalar du själv. Mer info på försäkringskassans hemsida: här
2.) Elever som redan går på LIMUS med musikcheck:
Du måste avvakta fakturan från kommunen för att få ett OCR nummer. Därefter loggar du in på försäkringskassan här och ansöker om fritidskortet. Sök upp ”Kulturskolan” (ännu finns inte ”Kulturskolan & musikcheck”) och ange ditt OCR-nummer. Nu kan du använda kortet för att betala en del av avgiften. Resten betalar du själv. Tyvärr kan ni alltså inte använda fritidskortet för våra mer omfattande kurser utanför musikchecken Kortet gäller inte heller för musikteori eller fasta ensembler som LIUS, PT eller Gröna ensemblen eftersom de är fristående från Lunds Musikcheck. Däremot stödjer vi dessa kurser med egna pengar och ger ganska kraftig rabatt.

“Fritidskortet” (The leisure card) and the music cheque in Lund/music cheque in Staffanstorp can be combined!
The leisure card is a digital government grant of currently 550 SEK/year to support fees for leisure activities. Unfortunately, private music schools and their students are not included in the leisure card. But! Young people aged 7 – 16 can use their leisure card at LIMUS if they have a Lund or Staffanstorp music check. The amount for 2026 can be used from January 5, 2026.
Once again, independent music teaching on young peoples free time given at private music schools has benn given bad conditions. Everyone knows that private music schools have to add 25% VAT to their services. The very same services, when given by the municipal “kulturskolor” and studieförbund, are not taxed at all. This means that private school prices are perceived as “expensive”. At LIMUS we keep proud despite this distorted competition – we and our students are happy to constribute to the public treasury! But 6% VAT as dance schools have would give more children the opportunity to come to us.
Fortunately, Lund has introduced the music cheque, which gives young people free option for voluntary education. We at LIMUS, together with our student parents, have already pushed this through since 2019. The music cheque in Lund and the leisure card can be combined. The music cheque in Lund is currently valid for young people born in 2010-2018. The leisure card is valid for young people aged 7-16. Here’s how you apply as citizen i Lunds municipality:
1.) New students:
You register your child for the music check here and choose LIMUS Music School. We will contact you, determine the playing time, the start date and then send you a welcome e-mail. At the same time, we report you as a new student to the municipality. The municipality will invoice you and with this you will receive an OCR number..
Then you log in to the social security office here and apply for the leisure card. Search for “Kulturskolan” (there is no “Kulturskolan & musik cheque” yet) and enter your OCR number. Now you can use the card to pay part of the fee. You pay the rest yourself. More info on the social security office’s website: here.
2.) Students who already attend LIMUS with music check:
Please wait for the invoice from the municipality to receive an OCR number. Then log in to the social insurance system here and apply for the leisure card. Search for “Kulturskolan” (there is no “Kulturskolan & music check” yet) and enter your OCR number. Now you can use the card to pay part of the fee. You pay the rest yourself. Unfortunately, you cannot use the leisure card for our more extensive courses outside of the music cheque. The card also does not apply to music theory or permanent ensembles such as LIUS, PT or Gröna ensemblen because they are independent from Lund’s Music cheque. However, we support these courses with our own money and give a fairly substantial discount.
